Amaç

The purpose of the Medical Laboratory Techniques program; To train health technicians who perform medical analyzes deemed necessary by physicians regarding the patient's condition in diagnosis and treatment laboratories within health institutions. Medical laboratory technician makes pre-use checks of test equipment and tools. Prepares the necessary chemical liquids, mixtures and physical conditions for testing the samples to be used in experiments, analyzes and tests. Performs the desired experiments, tests and analyzes using laboratory equipment, reports the findings and performs the follow-up processes.

Kayıt ve Kabul Koşulları

In order to be accepted to this program, it is necessary to complete a high school or equivalent education, get a diploma and get sufficient points in the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT). Students are admitted to the program according to the principles determined by the Council of Higher Education.

Mezuniyet Koşulları

In order to obtain an associate degree in Medical Laboratory Techniques, students must successfully complete all of the courses (a total of 120 ECTS) and have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Önceki Öğrenimin Tanınması

Students can apply to be exempted from the courses they have taken and succeeded from the higher education institutions they have previously registered or from an institution whose equivalence has been accepted. Exemption requests, when necessary, are decided by the board of directors by taking the opinion of the lecturer giving the course.

Ölçme ve Değerlendirme

Each student must have attended 70% of the theoretical courses and at least 80% of the practices in order to register for the courses at the beginning of the semester and take the final exam. Students are subjected to at least one midterm and final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam (the scores obtained from measurement tools such as homework, practical exam, and quiz) to the success grade is 40%, and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. A student who receives one of the letter grades of AA, BA, BB, CB and CC from a course is deemed to have succeeded in that course. DC and DD grades are conditionally successful grades. In order for the student to be successful in a course in which he received a DC or DD grade, the grade point average (ANO) for that semester must be at least 2.00.
