Amaç

The aim of the program is training restoration technicians with sufficient knowledge and equipment that can take part in all stages such as documenting, projecting and repairing monumental buildings and civil architecture examples, with the purpose of conserving the cultural heritage with aesthetic, historical and documentary values and transfering it to future generations.

Kayıt ve Kabul Koşulları

Although Turkish students must have a high school and equivalent diploma, all admission and enrollment conditions are determined by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in accordance with the relevant legislation of the Higher Education Institution (YÖK). Foreign students are admitted as a result of the evaluation of their direct applications to the university.

Mezuniyet Koşulları

In order to complete the program successfully, completion of all the courses designated within the curriculum of the programme, having a total of 120 ECTS Credits with passing grades, achievement of a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and to complete 30 days of mandatory internship (65 according to the Internship Regulation, internship success grade is 65).

Our graduates can work in restoration sites, architectural offices, archaeological sites and museums, archaeological excavations, public institutions, and open their own offices as freelance entrepreneurs.

Üst Dereceye Geçiş

If our graduates who want to continue their education are successful in the Vertical Transfer Examination held by ÖSYM, they can make vertical transfer to the relevant undergraduate programs.

Ölçme ve Değerlendirme

In order for each student to enroll in the courses at the beginning of the semester and to take the final exam, it is necessary to attend 70% of the theoretical courses and at least 80% of the practices. Students are subjected to at least one midterm and final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam (points obtained from assessment tools such as homework, laboratory exam, quiz as a midterm grade) can be 40% and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. A student who gets one of the letter grades AA, BA, BB, CB and CC from a course is considered to have succeeded in that course. DC and DD grades are conditional successful grades. In order for the student to be successful in a course with a DC or DD grade, the grade point average (ANO) for that semester must be at least 2.00.
